Gabi Anderson, RNC-OB, C-EFM, BSN, CCCE, CPI Trainer
Gabi has been a Labor and Delivery Nurse since graduating from CSU Sacramento in 2005. She has worked in high-risk OB for most of her career as a staff nurse, in addition to being a charge nurse at a low-risk hospital Birthing Center. While there, she held the role of co-coordinator of the Volunteer Doula Program for two years. Gabi is currently working as Clinical Coordinator of the Family Birth Center at Mercy General Hospital in Sacramento.
Gabi attends Saint Xavier University, where she will receive a MSN-Clinical Nurse Leader degree in 2019. She recently received certification in Childbirth Education, Inpatient OB Nursing and Electronic Fetal Monitoring, and will soon complete training as an instructor of Neonatal Resuscitation with AAP. In addition she will complete training for Intermediate Fetal Monitoring through AWHONN. Since 2014, she has also been a Certified Babywearing Educator. Gabi is passionate about Maternal Mental Health, works to promote evidence-based practices, and empowers families to be advocates for their own healthcare.
